The name comes from Kimberly's mother, Sarah Ann Moody. The nickname "Tootsie" was the name she grew up with since birth—sweet, simple, and unmistakably her personality.

In the 1980s, Tootsie courageously advocated for her nephew, who was born without sweat glands and overheated one day while visiting her from North Carolina. At a time when few solutions existed, Tootsie partnered with NASA and co-founded the Hypohidrotic Ectodermal Dysplasia (HED) Foundation to help develop a groundbreaking suit that allowed her nephew to safely be able to play outside in the heat without getting heat exhaustion that could possibly lead to brain damage. She later worked with NASA to create another suit for children that were allergic to UV Ray or any exposure to light. They were able to experience sunlight for the first time—a story that made national headlines and inspired thousands.

Kimberly carried that same fire for healing and advocacy into her own motherhood journey and in creation of products that truly supported healing after childbirth, without synthetic chemicals or harsh ingredients.
